Bachelor of Business (BBus), Macarthur Institute of Higher Education (UWS). Master of Commerce (MComm), University of Western Sydney (Nepean). Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance, Financial Institute of Australia.

1996 to 2000 Associate Lecturer, University of Western Sydney. 2000 to 2004 Lecturer, University of Newcastle (Central Coast Campus). 2004 to 2017 Official of the Australian Workers' Union.
Interests include - Plays in the over 35s competition for Doonside Hawks Soccer Club and Doonside Rebels Rugby League team.
