Son of Joseph Patrick Fallon, brickmaker, and Mary Ann Riley. Married Agnes Roche on 11 April 1910 and they had 3 daughters and 1 son. Roman Catholic. Funeral at Northern Suburbs cemetery from Our Lady of Dolours Roman Catholic Church at Chatswood.
Qualifications, occupations and interests
Tailor and union official. Tailor by trade, worked for W. Chorley and Company and Cavanaghs, George Street, Sydney; later became a commercial traveller. Assisted to organise the Tailor's Union, president in 1904, and amalgamation to form the Federated Clothing and Allied Trades Union in 1922 (Amalgamated Clothing and Allied Trades Union of Australia from 1924), New South Wales secretary from 1923 until 1955; member of executive of the Trades and Labor Council (TLC) and Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU); active in early closing movement
