- I am advised that the Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing (OLGR) received
four complaints regarding disturbance from Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf over
the past five years.
- I am advised that on 24 June 2009 a formal conference was convened by OLGR
under section 79 of the Liquor Act 2007 in response to a disturbance complaint.
City Central LAC and City of Sydney Council provided submissions to that
conference.
- Each complaint received has been assessed and investigated. The licensee
provided undertakings in respect to a formal disturbance complaint to implement
a Security Management Plan and to provide security guards to conduct regular
patrols.
- I am advised that the liquor licence of Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf is
endorsed with the standard "LA10 noise condition" which places
restrictions on noise emissions and is the preferred benchmark of OLGR when
considering noise from licensed premises.
- Where specific complaints are made about noise disturbance from licensed
premises, OLGR conducts a risk assessment of the complaint and allocates it for
appropriate action which may include remedial action or on site audits.
