FUTURE TRAIN SERVICES FOR RHODES

In regards to the Sydney Morning Herald article, dated 11 September 2025 showing medium-long term plans for Sydney Train services:

(1) Are there plans to increase train services to and from Rhodes?

(a) If so, what and how many services will be introduced?

(b) What is the timeframe for delivery?

(2) Is there a planned upgrade for the station platforms?

(a) If so, what is the timeframe for delivery?

Answer -

I am advised:

(1) Transport for NSW currently has no plans to increase train services to and from Rhodes. When the Sydney Metro West opens, passengers on the T9 Northern Line will be able to interchange at North Strathfield for Sydney Metro services to the Sydney CBD and Parramatta.

(2) Transport for NSW has no current plans to upgrade the platforms at Rhodes Station.
