That this House:
- Notes that women are underrepresented on public and private industry boards
in New South Wales.
- Considers that placing women on public and private sector boards is a
critical step to break down the structural disadvantages unfairly faced by
women in the workplace.
- Calls on the Government to take more action to:
- foster the development of women to senior leadership positions within the
private sector.
- encourage companies to appoint more women to their boards.
- Calls on the Government to lead by example and increase women's
representation on public sector boards.
