Answer -
|
- I am advised the Department of Finance and Services has no record of a
1983 Variation Agreement.
- The public housing component of the Agreement has been completed except
for 2 vacant sites.
- To complete the approved program for the Woolloomooloo Project.
- The Agreement indicates that public housing is to remain in public
ownership. Sale of the Cathedral Street properties did not include the
chemist shop or police station which are located on freehold land.
- The proceeds from commercial sales were reinvested on repair and
maintenance of public housing units in Woolloomooloo.
- Maintenance of public housing at Woolloomooloo is undertaken in accordance
with the maintenance standards set for all public housing in NSW.
- Public housing in Woolloomooloo like in other social housing areas will be
maintained and improved in accordance with social housing needs and priorities.
