That this House:

(1) Notes threats have been made against Assyrian-Australian Leaders in the Prospect Electorate, David David and Hermiz Shahen.

(2) Notes David David and Hermiz Shahen have come under personal attack in the Iranian media and from Members of the Iranian Parliament.

(3) Condemns the threats made against David David and Hermiz Shahen.

(4) Notes the Assyrian Universal Alliance - Australian Chapter provides important services and advocacy for the Assyrian diaspora.

(5) Supports David David and Hermiz Shahen in their efforts for genocide recognition and the establishment of a safe, peaceful and democratic homeland for the Assyrian people in Northern Iraq.
