Committee Reports (Take Note Debates)

Committee reports are tabled by the Committee Chairs in the House in the Routine of Business after Question Time.  Some reports can also be tabled out of session with the Clerk.

A debate that 'The House Take Note' of Committee reports is conducted every Wednesday afternoon at 1.00 pm in the order in which they were tabled. If the report is tabled out of session the Take Note Debate will happen when the House next sits, again in the order the reports were tabled.

Time limits apply to the contributions of the Chair and other Members of the House (Standing Order 306). Joint Committee reports are debated in both Houses.
