Free and Expanded Public Transport

To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, Fuel prices in New South Wales have increased in recent weeks due to the Strait of Hormuz being an active war zone. New South Wales residents and businesses are under immense pressure for both the cost and availability of fuel which is likely to continue far beyond any hostilities in the Strait. We the undersigned ask that the Legislative Assembly call on the Government to: 1. Make public transport free across the state in order to reduce demand on fuel and give cost of living relief. 2. Extend the operating hours of public transport to support shift workers. 3. Provide additional bus routes to under-served communities such as Western Sydney to help people with alternatives to driving.
