Select Committee on Proposed Energy from Waste Facilities

This Select Committee was established on 6 August 2025 to inquire into and report on proposed energy from waste facilities.

 

Video recordings of hearings, where available, can be found on the NSW Parliament's YouTube channel.

 

Submissions

The Committee has received over 1,400 submissions.

Due to the high volume, there will be a delay in processing, reviewing, and publishing submissions online.

Thank you to all individuals who have contributed to the inquiry. Your input will help inform the Committee’s understanding of the issues.

 

Public Forum

PLEASE NOTE: OWING TO FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS, THE PUBLIC FORUM HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO TUESDAY 14 APRIL 2026. 

Registrations to speak at the public forum have now closed, however you are welcome to attend to observe. This forum is an opportunity for members of the Parkes community to share their thoughts with the Committee on proposals to build energy from waste facilities in NSW.


Event Details:

Date: Tuesday, 14 April 2026 

Time: 2:15 pm - 3:30 pm

Location: The Robert Wilson Auditorium, Parkes Leagues Club, Parkes, NSW

Topic/Focus: Inquiry into Proposed Energy from Waste Facilities 

Timing: Each speaker will have a maximum of 2 minutes of speaking time, with time limits strictly enforced.
