Role-Plays in School Tours
School tours include the option of a role play. The role plays are suitable for both primary and secondary groups - however specific recommendations are given below. You may choose between one of the following types of role-play.
Passing a Bill Role Play
Propose and pass a Bill in the Legislative Assembly Chamber where it actually happens. You can prepare your own Bill beforehand for debate, or choose one below (click the PDF icon to download). Suits HSIE Stages 3-5.
Process of Debating a Bill
Homework Abolition Bill
School Uniform Abolition Bill
Payment of School Students Bill
Voluntary Sports Bill
Federation Role Play
Re-stage part of one of the 1890s Constitutional Conventions working towards Australian Federation in the same chamber where they met. Decide on where the new Federal capital should be. You can download the Federation role play materials by clicking the PDF icon below. Suits History Stage 5.
Committees Role Play
