Young Women’s Leadership Programs (6 May, 3 September, 10 December)
A full day workshop for Year 11 girls with keynote speakers, panel of women MPs and workshop on issues around leadership and women.

School Leadership Program – 10 days of visits by secondary school leaders to Parliament and Government House, meeting members, community leaders and the Governor of NSW

Henry Parkes Primary Schools Citizenship Convention (9 November)
- discusses current issues including action undertaken by students.
Theme for 2009 is Looking to the future; the voice of youth in our democracy.

Forum 2009 (11 May, 31 August)
Issues-based, parliamentary program for Year 10 students – debating contemporary issues in parliamentary style.

Schools State Constitutional Convention (2008: 16 February) (2009: 16 November)
National program for Year 11 students to consider issues relating to the Australian Constitution. Delegates from the state convention attend a national convention early in the following year.
