Information sessions for public servants and professionals
‘New South Wales Legislative Council in Practice’
The Department of the Legislative Council conducts regular seminars called ‘New South Wales Legislative Council in Practice’. The seminars are intended for public servants and other interested persons who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of the Legislative Council.
The seminars provide practical information on how the Legislative Council performs its legislative, representative and scrutiny functions.
The sessions focus on the interaction between the Executive Government and the Legislative Council, including the ways in which the Legislative Council holds the Government to account, and the implications of that process for government departments and other organisations.
