Recreational interests included cycling, bushwalking and family activities.

Former member 1/15 Royal New South Wales Lancers (Parramatta 1982 - 1984).

Personal

Son of Wladyslaw Ziolkowski and his wife Roma Ziolkowski. Married Gabrielle Harrison (who later was also a Member of the Legislative Assembly) on 30 November 1985, and had issue 1 son.
