Qualifications, occupations and interests
Dairy Farmer. Educated at Jamberoo and Kiama public schools; in 1890 went to Richmond River as a manager at the Pearce Creek butter factory; took up land in 1898, dairy farmer, established a Jersey stud; chairman of Lismore Dairy Company; assisted to found Primary Producers' Union, president of Richmond River council; committee member of Australian Jersey Herd Society of New South Wales; moved to Croydon after entering Parliament., leaving management of farms to sons, New South Wales representative on Commonwealth Board of Trade; member of Farmer and Settlers' Association in 1925; supported New State Movement; Freemason.
Local Government Activity
Councillor of Terania Shire from 1906 until 1922, President from 1909 until 1922; vice president of Shires Association of New South Wales from 1914 until 1917, President from 1918 until 1922; president of Tweed District Local Government Association and Water Hyacinth Board.
Personal
Son of David Missingham, farmer, and Priscilla Noble. Married Margaret Elizabeth Dorrough on 25 November 1891 and had issue, 2 daughters and 2 sons. Methodist. Funeral at Northern Suburbs cemetery.
