Managed both properties until c.1954; returned to Sydney and supervised the management of Winderadeen until sold in 1970; chairman of Mahonga Pty Limited, Winderadeen Pty Limited, Australian Factors Limited, George Armstrong and Son Pty Limited, Palgrave Corporation Limited, Landmark Corporation. Member of the Nuclear Research Foundation, University of Sydney and Water Research Foundation, University of New South Wales; Union and Australia Clubs.


Personal

Son of George Armstrong, doctor, and Florence Edith Ewan. Married (1) Marjorie Alma Goodhew on 10 February 1945 and they had 2 daughters; divorced. Married (2) Margaret Rose Cleary in July 1963.
