Member of district hospital committee; temperance supporter; Orangeman; member of central council of Australian Protestant Defence Association; Freemason; parochial council at St John's Church of England, Parramatta.

Personal
Son of Robert Henry Moxham, storekeeper, and Martha Dick. Married Mary Agnes Somers in 1883 at Newcastle and had issue, 1 daughter and 4 sons. Funeral at All Saints cemetery, Parramatta.
