Trustee of Trades Hall.

Personal

Son of William James Sutherland, seaman, unionist and president of Darling Harbour Labor League, and Clara Dwyer, schoolteacher. Married Sushanna Slatter on 1 May 1926 and had no issue. Roman Catholic. Funeral at Roman Catholic Lawn Cemetery at Rookwood from St Patrick's Church in Church Hill.
