He changed to Rugby League, played in seven premiership sides with St George and from 1963 - 1966 was chosen to represent Australia as an international Rugby League player. Former Captain / Coach of the Canterbury / Bankstown Rugby League team 1967 - 1970. Former Sports Commentator with Australian Broadcasting Corporation Television 1970 - 1973.
