Landed proprieter. Born of a well-to-do family. Owned Eastwood Estate from c.1863. Hunting and racing enthusiast who built a racecourse at Eastwood. Master of Sydney Hunt Club and for a time of the Northern Hunting Club; Member of Australian Jockey Club and Sydney Turf Club. Brother of S.H Terry.
