Australian Labor Party (ALP). Left over conscription. Nationalist Party. United Australia Party (UAP). Councillor 1929 - 1930 and 1931 - 1940; vice-president 1940 - 1942. Member of the committee for the amalgamation of the Nationalist Party and the All for Australia Party to form the UAP.


Qualifications, occupations and interests

Contractor and journalist. Educated at Millthorpe public school; employed in flour milling with Great W.Milling Company Limited, then as a building contractor. 1st Mounted Transport Company. Drived after defeat in Parliament. Freelance journalist. Publicity and research officer of New South Wales United Australia Party parliamentary party from 1934 until 1935; on staff of Richard Thompson & Associates in 1942; Commonwealth Loans and recruiting from 1943 until 1945; councillor of New South Wales Prohibition Alliance (1925); Protestant Federation in 1921.
