Educated at Newington College; at seventeen went to Bogan district, selected land in sheep district country near Dandaloo, prospered; owned Wyoming Station Nevertire; director of Land; executive member of Farmers and Settlers Association from 1912, president from 1921 until 1922, vice president from 1922 until 1925; member of Australian Wool Council for six years; president of Australian Farmers Federation and Organisation in 1930; president of New Settlers League from 1929 until 1930; active in recruiting campaign during 1914 until 1918 war; supported Far West Mission Children's Scheme;, honorary treasurer; member of Methodist State and Australian Conferences.
Personal
Son of George Thomas Hunt, orchardist, and Elizabeth Williams. Married Sarah Ruth Fletcher in c.1881 and had issue, 3 daughters and 5 sons. Funeral at Northern Suburbs cemetery from Mosman Methodist church.
