Qualifications, occupations and interests
Pastoralist. Known as William Pantoney Junior, until c.1817/18, when name changed to William Lee. Spent early years on Norfolk Island. Lived at Windsor in 1814 and was issued with government cattle in 1816. One of the first settlers at Bathurst in 1818, receiving a large land grant at Kelso. Purchased much land at Molong. At a later time toook up stations becoming a big squatter. At death had land both freehold and leasehold in Wellington, Emu Plains, Bathurst, and Lane Cove.
Personal
Son of William Pantoney and Sarah Smith, convicts. Married Mary Dargin on 26 March 1821 and had issue, 4 daughters and 6 sons. Church of England
