The Hon. ELISABETH KIRKBY: I address my question without notice to the Leader of the Government, representing the Premier. As this week is Heritage Week, will the Minister inform the

House of the Government's intention so far as the future of Cockatoo Island is concerned? Is the Government aware that Cockatoo Island holds an immensely valuable heritage item, the only nineteenth century dry docks in Australia, that could be lost because of flooding? Will the Minister make a decision soon about what is going to happen to Cockatoo Island?
The Hon. M. R. EGAN: I am not in a position to be able to answer the honourable member's question, but I will refer it to the appropriate Minister and obtain a response as soon as I can.
If honourable members have further questions, I suggest they place them on the notice paper.
