SAFETY HOUSE PROGRAM
The Hon. A. G. CORBETT: My question is directed to the Attorney General, and Minister for Industrial Relations, representing the Minister for Police. In the light of the findings by the Australian Institute of Family Studies, which were reported in the Sydney Morning Herald today, that a large proportion of the parents of both primary and secondary students are worried about their children being attacked or kidnapped on the way to school, will the Minister indicate what initiatives the Government has taken and what funding it has provided to revitalise the safety house program, as promised on page 10 of the Treasurer's Budget Speech last year?
