TREASURER AND MINISTER FOR THE ARTS DEFAMATION ACTION
The Hon. M. R. EGAN: My question without notice is directed to the Attorney General. Did the Attorney have any discussions or communications with officers of his department on or prior to 28th July about the litigation between Mr Peter Collins and Dr Michael Ryan? What was the nature of any such discussions or communications? What instructions or opinions did the Attorney General give on the matter?
The Hon. J. P. HANNAFORD: The question asked by the Leader of the Opposition was whether I had any communications with my department on or before 28th July concerning the matter involving Dr Ryan and Mr Collins. The answer is that I had no communications with my department concerning the matter.
