MASTER BUILDERS ASSOCIATION ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
The Hon. ELISABETH KIRKBY: My question without notice is directed to the Minister for Police and Emergency Services and Vice-President of the Executive Council. Since February this year has the Master Builders Association billed the New South Wales Government for 11 administrative staff to run the apprenticeship scheme? Is it a fact that only 10 administrative staff are employed? What has happened to these overpayments? When will the Government insist that the Master Builders Association and the Building Services Corporation comply with the conditions of the apprenticeship scheme? Will the Minister explain to the House how the Master Builders Association has achieved surpluses of $8 million over the past six years?
The Hon. E. P. PICKERING: The honourable member would understand that as Minister for Police and Emergency Services I would have absolutely no knowledge of the detailed matters she raises. However, I shall refer them to, presumably, the Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Further Education, Training and Employment for a response.
