State Government Familiarisation Programme - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Today more than ever before, an understanding of the structure and decision making process of Government is essential if business is to cater effectively for its own interests and those of New South Wales. This one day Programme has been designed to give members of the business community a unique opportunity to study at first hand, the way Government and the Parliament works. Participants will hear how policy and legislation is developed and implemented; how the Committee structure works; and will meet key people involved in the process.

Topics have been chosen to cover the important areas of decision making process, policy formulation, how to deal with Ministers and their Departments, the Opposition, and an insight into the techniques of lobbying and effective submissions. Participants will have the opportunity to Lunch with Politicians and Departmental Heads and to attend Question Time.

The State Government Familiarisation Programme is informative and of long term value to those concerned with the policies and processes of Government. (Registrations will be limited to 50 participants)
