Citizen Writes Course at NSW Parliament House - each Thurs 8 May - 29 May 2008 - PROGRAM FULL




Join us over four sessions and learn about our system of government and how citizens can participate more effectively in our democracy. The course will be held at the NSW Parliament and will include guest speakers and a tour of the parliament. Topics to be explored include Government in NSW; the role of members and committees, the media and other watchdogs and communicating effectively with elected representatives.

Cost:Nil. Registration is essential


Public transport is recommended, as parking at the Parliament is not available. Parliament House is in Macquarie Street, almost opposite Martin Place. It is close to Martin Place and St James stations. Participants should enter Parliament via the Macquarie Street security entrance and make their way to the Legislative Assembly reception desk.
