Economic and social development in central western New South Wales (Inquiry)

This inquiry is a completed Legislative Council inquiry conducted by the State Development Committee.   This Inquiry was established on 7 July 2011 to inquire into and report on the factors restricting economic and social development in central western New South Wales. The terms of reference for the inquiry were referred by the Minister for Western New South Wales, the Hon Kevin Humphries MP.

The Committee considers that central western New South Wales encompasses the areas surrounding Lithgow, Nyngan, Cobar, Broken Hill, Ivanhoe, West Wyalong and Young. This covers a number of local government areas, including the entire Central West region, and parts of the North Western and Far West regions.

The Committee will accept late submissions until 2 September 2011, submissions can be lodged via the website, by email, post or faxed to 9230 2981.
