Explanatory Notes
Overview of Bill The objects of this Bill are to make provision with respect to the care, treatment and control of mentally ill persons and mentally disordered persons and other matters relating to mental health. The Bill re-enacts the provisions of the Mental Health Act 1990, with amendments, generally in accordance with proposals relating to patients (other than forensic patients) arising from a statutory review of that Act.
