Miller. Educated at Reverend Matthew Adams school at Windsor. As a young man went to the diggings. Became a miller at an early age and was proprieter of two steam mills at Windsor for a long time. Became a large scale pastoralist. Became a director of Australian Steam Navigation Company. Commercial Banking Company of Sydney Limited 1890 until 1922. Perpetual Trustee Company. Acquired several city properties. Commissioner of Calcutta Exhibition in 1884. Member of Union Club.

Personal

Son of Uriah Moses, baker, and Ann. Married Ann Primrose on 19 May 1857 and had issue, 4 daughters and 6 sons. Church of England. Funeral at Waverley cemetery from St John's Church of England, Darlinghurst.
