6963—DISABILITY HOUSING AND SUPPORT INITIATIVE (DHASI)
Mrs Judy Hopwood to the Minister for Housing, and Minister for Western Sydney—
How will the Disability Housing and Support Initiative (DHASI) apply to the Hornsby electorate?
- The Disability Housing and Support Initiative (DHASI) is a Partnership Project between Housing NSW and Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (DADHC). Under the Project's Operating Agreement, Housing NSW provides suitable properties primarily through the community housing sector and DADHC provides recurrent funding and client referrals.
- The three community housing providers that operate within the Hornsby and Ryde LGAs have offered their support for the program. These are Garrigal Housing Association Ltd, North Shore Community Housing Ltd and Ryde Hunters Hill Community Housing Co-op Ltd.
- Questions regarding support and funding packages and the referral of clients under DHASI should be referred to my colleague the Hon Paul Lynch MP, Minister for Ageing, Minister for Disability Services and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs.
