2008 Precedent1. Following debate on a general business motion a member requested that the motion be put as separate questions. The question that paragraph (1) be agreed to was put and passed and the question that paragraphs (2), (3) and (4) be agreed to was put and negatived on division. S.O. 157 of 1994 (Repealed)157. When a motion consists of one or more distinct parts a Member may, before the question is put, require the Speaker to put the motion as separate questions.
2006 Precedent1. Pursuant to standing order 157 a member asked that a motion with two parts be put as separate questions. This was agreed to but the member withdrew his request after being advised that there would be no further debate on either part of the motion. PD 02/05/2006, p 22409 2. 1992 Precedent1. The following motion moved: (1) That the Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Ethic Affairs is deserving of the censure of this House in relation to all matters involved in "The Metherell Affair". (2) That the Minister for the Environment is deserving of the censure of this House in relation to all matters involved in "The Metherell Affair".
