S.O.283 Committees - casting and deliberate vote


283. (1) A question arising at a meeting of a committee shall be determined by a majority of the votes of the Members present and voting.
(2) The Chair shall exercise a deliberative vote and, in the event of an equality of vote, shall exercise a casting vote, except upon a private bill.
