| Description | This record was begun under the first Legislative Council, which went out of existence with the onset of a bicameral parliament and responsible government. It gives the title; price; publisher; name of Member proposing; and remarks. At the advent of responsible government, each House had its own separate Library Committee, until the two committees started to meet as a Joint Library Committee in 1863. This volume was not used again until 1869 and remained in use until 1900. It was taken up again in 1926, but has not been used since. This series is in the same volume as PRS 291.L, Register of Books for Binding, 1855 |
