Description	These volumes registered any accessions of volumes to the Library which were acquired by other means than purchase. 'Gifts' were books acquired through unsolicited donation; 'Exchange' covered those volumes acquired by the vast system of exchanges of official printed documents of other Australian colonies, other colonies in the British Empire, other countries, and (to a lesser degree) great institutions (such as libraries or scientific bodies). 'Binding' covered those volumes which were created by the binding of loose papers. These papers were acquired through the exchanges program or accumulated by the purchase or donation of newspapers and magazines; or created by binding any kind of loose collection of papers. The volumes are arranged chronologically and give the date; title; source; whether the volume is 'G & E' (gift and exchange); or 'P' (? parliamentary) ; or a Pamphlet; and remarks.
