| Description | These volumes are a subject index to the Shelf Lists, PRS 300.L. These five groups were broken up into fourteen broad subject headings, such as 'Education', 'History' and 'Law'. Within this there are an elaborate series of detailed sub-arrangements, governed by the shelf lists which controlled the assigning of each title to its chosen shelf. The books are the listed alphabetically by author within the various classification headings. There is a guide to the classification headings. See PRS 302.L also. |
