| Description | This series registers the series PRS 268.L, Correspondence - Main Series, from 1889 - 1923, and not only registers the incoming correspondence but also gives details of the books received either by purchase, presentation or exchange, and binding. They give the register number (not given for books received); date received; subject of the correspondence or the author and title of the book. Under the broad column of 'Books Added to the Library', they give the following information: By purchase (i) In England - volumes and cost; (ii) In the Colony - volumes and cost. By Presentation or Exchanges - volumes. By binding - volumes. The last column is for remarks.
