Parliamentary Record Series Entry

Classification

Creating Agency Library
Series PRS 0269.L, Correspondence - Files extracted from the Main Series of Correspondence by Francis Walsh
Date Range 01/04/1862 - 01/04/1918
Description These papers, as is apparent from their series title, were extracted from the Main Series (PRS 268.L) prior to 1924 by Francis Walsh, Parliamentary Librarian from 1889 to 1924. Apparently they were extracted because it was deemed that they were more "historical" or valuable than the others, or perhaps they were just never filed when they should have been. They are divided into four bundles, one relating to Library administration, one on reference jobs done, the next a mixture of the first two, and the last are legal documents completely unrelated to the Library. CONTROL/RELATED RECORDS: PRS 268.L
