Killalea State Park Trust

Ms SYLVIA HALE: I address my question to the Minister for Lands. I refer to the development agreement between Killalea State Park Trust and the developer, or developers, relating to the potential 52-year lease of a section of the park. How much revenue will be generated for the Government should that lease proceed, and how much of that revenue will go to the trust for upkeep of the park?
The Hon. TONY KELLY: As usual, Ms Sylvia Hale asked me about five questions in one but, if my memory serves me correctly, her main question related to how much revenue would be generated for the Government. Over the 52-year lease of that park about $13 million will be generated. I have said publicly to the trust and to anyone else that, over that period, the trust will receive at least that amount. It might not necessarily get the entire amount on the day that it is delivered; it will probably be apportioned to it over a period. However, the trust will get that amount of money and more over the period of the lease.
The Hon. JOHN DELLA BOSCA: If members have further questions, I suggest that they place them on notice.
