MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART

SAMIOS: My question without notice is to the Treasurer, Minister for Energy, Minister for State and Regional Development, Minister Assisting the Premier, and Vice-President of the Executive Council, representing the Premier, Minister for the Arts, and Minister for Ethnic Affairs. Is the Premier aware that on page 2 of the University News dated 23 May it is stated that the Premier envisioned an improved conservatorium in line with developments such as the addition of two floors to the Museum of Contemporary Art and a proposed cinematech? Can the Premier state when the Museum of Contemporary Art will receive the much needed additional two floors to enable it to serve better the cultural needs of the people of New South Wales?
The Hon. M. R. EGAN: It is a long time since I was a student at Sydney University. I am not sure whether this journal was published when I was there, but if it was, I never read it; and I am not a reader of it now. I am not sure what is said on page 2 of the document, but I am happy to refer the question to the Premier.
