Community Activity
Commissioned as a Justice of the Peace in 1851, and was appointed a Coroner at Berrima.
Qualifications, occupations and interests
Landed proprieter. After fathers death in 1828 received a land grant of 5,000 acres in recognition of fathers services. Lived on Wingecarribee estate, near Bowral. In 1865 had 40 tenant farmers.

Son of John Joseph William Henry Molesworth Oxley, surveyor general, landed proprieter and entrepreneur, and Emma Norton. Married Emily Orchard on 4 November 1854 at Berrima and had issue, 1 daughter and 3 sons.
