Legislative Assembly Public Bodies Review Committee
The Public Bodies Review Committee is a current standing committee of the Legislative Assembly, established 30 May 1995, re-established 20 June 2007.
The Committee examines annual reports of all public bodies and enquires into and reports on the adequacy and accuracy of all financial and operational information, and on any matters arising from the annual report concerning the efficient and effective achievement of the agency's objectives.

Terms of Reference Establishing Committee
Legislative Assembly Votes and Proceedings No. 13, Entry 21, 20 June 2007.
That a standing committee be appointed to inquire into and report from time to time with the following terms of reference:
(1) To examine the annual reports of all public bodies and to enquire into and report on:
(a) The adequacy and accuracy of all financial and operational information;
(b) Any matter arising from the annual report concerning the efficient and effective achievement of the agency’s objectives;
(c) Any other matter referred to it by a Minister or by resolution of the Legislative Assembly.
(2) That such committee consist of six members of the Legislative Assembly.
(3) That Mr Ashton, Mr Cansdell, Mr Draper, Ms McMahon, Mr Merton and Mr Morris be appointed to serve on such committee.
(4) That the committee have leave to make visits of inspection within the State of New South Wales and other states and territories of Australia.

PREMIER'S ANNUAL REPORTS AWARDS
The Public Bodies Review Committee in conjunction with the Public Accounts Committee hosts the Premier's Annual Reports Awards.
All public sector bodies in NSW are eligible to enter their annual report in the awards program to compete for the Gold, Silver or Bronze awards, which are part of the Premier's Public Sector Awards.
Entries are judged by a technical panel and a final judging panel according to criteria set out in the document below. Each entrant receives feedback on the extent to which their entry complied with the criteria.
All entries must be accompanied by an entry form, five copies of the annual report and a copy of a completed NSW Treasury Annual Reporting Review Compliance Checklist (available from the NSW Treasury website http://www.treasury.nsw.gov.au/annfaq/arpage)
Entries for the next Premier's Annual Reports Award are due by 31 January 2009.
