Arrived in Australia in 1890, employed at Captains Flat mines; admitted as a solicitor in 1893, practised in Bungendore; president of Bungendore Progress Association, and Schools of Arts; member of Lake George Capital Site committee in 1901; director of Queanbeyan Hospital; Good Templar; Grand Vice Templar and Grand Assistant secretary of the Grand Lodge in Sydney; chairman of Christian Temperance Socirty; lost seat on a fraudulent conviction.
