(1) Has the Treasurer been able to divest the Government investment portfolio of all Russian financial involvement, as he promised earlier this year?
(a) If not, what Russian investment remains and why hasn’t it been divested?
I am advised:
The Government investment portfolios have been divested of virtually all their Russian debt holdings. The portfolios continue to hold Russian equities as the ability to sell these has been constrained by the Russian Central Bank imposing market access restrictions and capital controls on foreign investors. Markets continue to be monitored to seek opportunities to complete the divestment process.
