Legislative Assembly Standing Committee on Parliamentary Privilege and Ethics
The Standing Committee on Parliamentary Privilege and Ethics is a current standing committee of the Legislative Assembly, established 4 Dec 2003, re-established 20 June 2007.
The committee continues the functions of the Standing Committee on Ethics, which was established to prepare a draft code of conduct for Members of the Legislative Assembly, and to review any code introduced. This Committee has the function of carrying out educative work in relation to ethical standards applying to Members of the Legislative Assembly as well as providing advice on the standards. The Committee can also consider matters of privilege referred by the House.

The functions of the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Privilege and Ethics are to consider and report upon any matters relating to privilege which may be referred to it by the House, and to be the designated committee for the purpose of exercising the functions in Part 7A Division 2 of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988, relating to Parliamentary Ethical Standards including the Review of the Code of Conduct.
