    CAPE HAWKE HOSPITAL SERVICES
Page: 384

The Hon. JENNIFER GARDINER: My question without notice is directed to the Minister for Health. Does the Minister agree that the growing populations of Forster and Tuncurry warrant local public hospital and emergency services? What is the current state of any plans to provide public hospital and emergency services at Cape Hawke Hospital? What is the timetable for commencement of the delivery of such services?
The Hon. JOHN HATZISTERGOS: I am aware of the issue as it has been raised with me a number of times by the very diligent member for Port Stephens.

The Hon. Robyn Parker: What is his name?

The Hon. JOHN HATZISTERGOS: John Bartlett, a very diligent and active representative for his electorate. The Government has constantly under consideration the way to best provide services to the people of the Port Stephens area and will continue to do so.
