Ms LEE RHIANNON: I address my question without notice to the Treasurer. Will he confirm that he held a meeting in his office yesterday afternoon with representatives from clubs and the National Rugby League? Will he confirm or deny that members of his staff arranged for the fire doors on level 8, diagonally opposite his office, to be locked? If this action was taken, was it done to keep journalists away from the area where the meeting was held? Is he aware of the seriousness of blocking fire doors and the penalty of two years imprisonment or hefty fines for any individual committing this offence?
The Hon. MICHAEL EGAN: In response to the first part of the question of Ms Lee Rhiannon I advise that I did have a meeting yesterday with representatives of National Rugby League. I do not know that there were any representatives of clubs, as such, in attendance. I think they were all representatives of National Rugby League. In response to the second matter raised by the honourable member, I have absolutely no knowledge of it.
