The SPEAKER: I acknowledge that this is Simon Benson's last question time. Simon has been with the
Daily Telegraph for 15 years, in the New South Wales Press Gallery as a State political editor for six years and president of the New South Wales Press Gallery for three years. I thank him for his cooperation with the Parliament throughout that period. Simon was awarded the Sir Keith Murdoch Award for Journalism in 2005 and the Eureka Prize for Environmental Journalism in 2001. Simon met his wife, PJ, in the New South Wales Press Gallery and they were married last year. I understand Simon is going to the much calmer waters of Canberra as chief political reporter for the
Daily Telegraph. The Parliament thanks Simon Benson.
